Best budget mattress under £300?

Living alone for the first time and things are more expensive than I thought they would be and I'd like to buy a mattress that's reasonably good for a cheap price. Is that even possible or will I have to spend a lot more to get a half decent one?

We have two firm, sprung singles on a super king bed. We got them from Ikea and they were about £300 total and are ready comfortable.mcan't remember which ones tho

You can get a Simba for that, usually circa £700 +.

Look on Simbas Ebay outlet. They sell 'refurbished' mattresses - ones that have been returned under their 100 day guarantee. Technically second hand but they have a complete check over for damage and a brand new outside cover.

We did this and paid about £200 from memory, for a king-size. It came rolled in a box and appears to be brand new - I've even wondered if they sent us a new one by mistake tbh.

Another vote for ikea. Really surprised how good they are

We did this too. It was during a sale, plus it was 50x Nectar points. £180-ish for the mattress, which is a total bargain.

About 18 months ago I got a necta mattress for about £250 including pillows, duvet and bedding. Was on offer but they seem to do offers a lot

I also vote for Ikea. They are great. Our super king is a £££ Robert Evans mattress and the spare room is one from Ikea, and TBH I prefer sleeping in the spare room!

Ours was FB marketplace too so £100, unused from someone's guest room. But definitely worth paying full price.

Good luck finding one that suits you.
