How to find a reliable builder in West London?!

Can anyone recommend a reliable builder in the West London area? We're about to move to Ealing and will want some work done more or less straight away on the house we're buying - recommendations gratefully received. (We've used Rated People to find builders in the past but have had mixed results: I don't know who all the builders are who are desperate for work, because they don't seem to be looking for it on there.)

Disagree with the place in Shepard’s Bush, they were terrible and rude and the man in charge was even worse

Hello Ladies,

Our Boiler just died on us and we are looking for a trusted Boiler Installer to fit a new one in.

Do you know anyone in or around the Ealing area that you could recommend?

@FlatLover34 I noticed you might know someone? Sorry I sent you a private message but not sure if it went through. First time I use Mumsnet :-)

Thanks in advance, Sarah

Avoid belgravia based builder/loft conversion ‘specialist’ on Motcomb Street like the plague. The director was pleasant enough initially but delays were massive and he ended up doing a runner!! Our mistake as we had paid nearly 2/3 by then. Big red flag that they asked for sizeable upfront payments

We hunted around for a while hearing a few horror stories before going with our neighbours recommendation; homeconcepts; they were not the cheapest although we got an amazing renovation / extension and couldn't be happier; we let them take a load of photos as we were a little house proud and they are up on the website; //www.homeconcepts.co.uk

Hi there,

Can anyone please give me recommendations for builders in South West London? We’re looking to do some work to our place, new kitchen, electrics, floor, stairs, built in wardrobes and new floor.

Thank you!

Hello!
We used Tiptoe a year ago (I contacted them having seen the review on here).
They were OK. Started well and some nice staff, but ultimately left the project with quite a few badly botched jobs and had moved on to other work 2/3rds of the way through ours- as I hear most builders do- we were left chasing them around to finish things and get straight answers - let alone finish the job well, always had an excuse and never an apology, we are pretty laid back and had tried hard to keep a good relationship with them but it was a struggle.
We need more work done unfortunately and I've all but given up on finding a decent builder. I've asked neighbours and friends... They all seem too busy (it's a loft conversion and two bathroom installations). We can't even seem to even get quotes - is anyone else having the same issue? Has anyone in the the area found a company who sees work through and to a good standard? Thanks for your help 🙏
We have however found a great tiler, plumber and wooden floor installer though if anyone needs a recommendation for any of those trades, I'd happily pass the respective details on.

Hi , can you please share the details of the builder you recommend with me. I am looking to construct a porch and redo my driveway. Unfortunately, my previous builder left me in the middle of my job

Hello everybody. I am so excited to just share my joy. You see I am an artist. The creator, I call myself....no hashtags n stuff. To create I needed a loft...my own special hideout in my family home. My own space. I had all these ideas in my head. That's when I came.into.contact with Jonas Stanius and met his team. Wow! These guys were worth the shot! He helped me bring my mind creations to life when he gathered the Lux-Construction.team. Wow..I love my escapade..my space! I really think they are worth checking out if your place needs any uplifting or revamping
