If I used this fabric sideways would you notice?

I want to use this in my new study but to use it vertically i will need nearly £150 of fabric, whereas if I use it horizontally I will only need £60. Do you think it will look weird?

don't do it. decent blinds last 6-10 yrs so well worth a few quid more!

Could you do something that would use less of it, eg roller or roman blind, or use it to edge some curtains made out of a cheaper, plain fabric? Lovely fabric, I agree.

I think if you put it so the butterflies are facing forward then it would be 'ok' - but the dandylions would annoy me - but then 'just knowing' would annoy me Grin

How many people see it if it's in your study?

Have you had them send you a sample - that might sort it out for you.

What are you doing with fabric?

I think it will be noticeable. How about doing it the right way up and then making cushion covers with the remainder and selling them on Ebay for £24.99 a pair to help recoup the cost. There seems to be a brisk trade for cushion covers made from lovely fabrics - been suckered into that one myself!

it would be ok , the butterflies could easily be flying along sideways iyswim. but agree about the dandelion.

But who would be looking that closely? I for sure wouldn't notice, as they are quite small.

No the butterflies will forever annoy you.

although the leaves are at varying angles, the dandelion clocks and butterflies have to right way up - so i don't think you'd get away with it, or at least without thinking 'damn, i wish i'd done that the right way round..'
