Thinking of moving to Godalming

Hi all

I currently live in East Sheen, South West London. Unfortunately we can't afford to make the next "step" up the ladder so have been considering other areas. Godalming is one of them and I'd really appreciate any advice from those of you who live / have lived in the area. Is it a nice place to live? What are the nice areas / areas to avoid? Where are the good primary schools. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
