Ideas for a Fair Trade food item costume please

This is the latest 'great idea' Hmm to come from the Eco Group of DC3's primary school. I am not known for my life of all things costume related, so please give me some ideas for a costume which a)doesn't require me to spend any much money or b)give any time to making because I am snowed under with work between now and next Friday.

And teachers - please can you stop the dress up/dress down/cross dress days?

Any orange bin bags in the house? Or get one from a friend? Cut a hole at the top for the head, two holes for arms, stuff with some old newspaper, tie the bottom of the bag and wear over dark clothes. A fair trade orange.
Good luck with this. Dress up days are tough.

Just having a look online for some more ideas....apparently I should "find a burlap sack or a large coffee bean bag and turn it into a dress" Hmm

Thanks for the ideas! I wondered about a banana or chocolate - although he doesn't possess any yellow or brown clothes so that would be an expense I object to for 3 hours (half day on Fri here). Might just have to bite the bullet though Angry

Head to toe in brown-a coffee bean?
Yellow for a banana?
Fair trade symbol is blue (top)and green (bottom) though I realise that's not a food item.

I'm with you on the dressing up stuff. This year we've had a 'crazy hair' day, 'countries of the world' and next week is wbd of course!

Good luck.
