Prep Schools in Sevenoaks Area?

Hello
I am looking at prep schools in the Sevenoaks area for DD1. Currently considering Sevenoaks Prep, St Michaels (Otford) and Walthamstow Hall. I am finding it difficult to get any more in depth info than they are all good - are there any parents willing to share any experiences with me? Should I be considering any others? Thanks so much!

You could also consider Hilden Grange in Tonbridge. It's north Tonbridge, just outside Hildenborough so not very far from Sevenoaks, especially if you are on the south side. My friend's children go there and really love it. It has a great reputation academically, for both 11+ and CE (they got the top scholarship for Tonbridge this year which is very prestigious, and major academic scholarships for Sevenoaks) and is also very good for extracurricular activities. It's also very friendly and unpretentious (according to my friend anyway!)and is co-ed.

have friends at st michaels - boy and girl - they love it.

school has been very supportive on settling in - they let them go very very part time for the first bit of nursery and are quite flexible even after that.

both kids are bright and doing well - school gets lots into Sevenoaks for senior school....

Have you considered Russell House in Otford? It's a lovely school, co-ed and has great success at 11+. It's small too so only one year group per year.

I went to the Granville as a child (after Walthamstow Hall rejected me after a trial day - this was shortly before my 3rd birthday) and have very happy memories. It got quite a lot of girls into Tonbridge Grammar School back then ie got them through the 11+. It is very centrally located in Sevenoaks, so hyper convenient.

Thanks Bonsoir, I hadnt heard of that. Just wondering how it stacks up academically against the other schools I have looked into. Sorry - am a bit of a novice. Have you had a good experience there?
