School shoes

DD starts secondary school in Sept. Her school is really strict about uniform and shoes - she cannot wear shoes that resemble trainers/pumps so it has to be a 'proper' shoe.

What shoes are popular for a year 7?

Kickers are popular amongst girls. The T bar ones and the low boot type ones are usually a favourite amongst all the kids.

My dd is year 6 and I've just bought her brogues from Clarks. All the high school kids (I'm a teacher) wear similar.

Hello Op. I have a DD starting Y7 in Sep and also wondered what shoes to get. I saw some older posts on here with many recommending brogues. DD decided on Clarks Loxham Brogue Youth.

Thanks both. I had a feeling brogues would be the way to go.

Brogues like Clarks Hamble Oaks. Pretty much everywhere sells a school brogue. Supermarkets, Next etc.
