Hi. My sister had these and it scared her as she bled but it was a varicose breaking. I guess it's the pressure. Have you shown your midwife? Perhaps it's wise. Horrible thought.

just discovered what 'vulval varicosity' is myself. i had noticed pain while trying my squats... and discovered it while squatting in the bath for a wash. it's just worked its way up from the one in my leg. i'm figuring, after the birth of this kid, that i'm gonna save up for a nip, suck and boob lift... cellulite's out of control too!

Wincing at the varicose veins.....feeling for you and that cold compress someone suggested sounds a great idea.

Ive been stitched up twice and my labia is even bigger think I've sprouted wings down below

Oh, you poor thing. My SIL had terrible trouble with these through all her pregnancies, but everything got back to normal afterwards and no long-term impact.

nannyjo forgot to say: I didn't think it looked too different, think hubby must have forgotten what it should have looked like..following the birth it had been over 9 months since he last saw it .!! LOL

wait until you have had baby if you have torn...Now thats a differnet ball game! It took me 4 weeks to "check things out down there" and believe me it was scary ! Mmm... don't think needle work was my mw hobby ! Made worse when dh commented that "he was sure they has stiched up "something" incorrectly as it didn't look like it used to" LOL how odd did I feel !
Everything you body goes through is all worth it though for the end result.

Ouch! That sounds bad. Neils Yard does an excellent homeopathic piles cream which might help.

God! No-one warns you about this stuff do they?

I read something about these when I was pregnant and it said they disappear after the baby is born so don't worry too much, try putting a cold compress on your vagina to ease the discomfort, just a suggestion! I think you get them because of increased blood supply or something.

Not something I know much about!

Have you spoken to your mw? Pregnancy - what we have to go through!?

Take care
