thank you all so much and NEMO you are a star.

Have just got home from EPU and scan showed a healthy baby and a (sp) heamatoma, have been told was probably caused by lifting babies (childminder) and that i need bed rest for a few days. No guarentees but apparently the blood loss is good and its now turning very dark brown which is also good.
Baby seems fine and unaffected by all this so am going to get some sleep!
thankyou again everyone.

Oh petal - I have every thing crossed for you, and hoping my boss hasn't noticed that my eyes are welling up.

I lost a baby at 10 weeks - but many of my freinds bleed through their pregnancies and had healthy babies.

Take care

Bonkerz, just read thruogh this, and hope everything is Ok with you. I had exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago (due to a urine infection), and so far everything is going OK (fingers crossed).

I would definitely push at any time you are worried for the hopsital to do a scan - it just helps to give you some answers. I know some aren't happy to do this though (mine were not!).

Fingers crossed for you, and sending (((hugs))) your way... I'm now 13+4, so we are at the same stage.

Bonkerz I had a heavy bright red bleed whilst pregnant with my dd at 16 weeks i feared the worst but scan showed she was fine, They werent sure what caused the bleed but said it may just have been a graze to my cervix or placenta. Anyway i have a 2.2 year old dd who proves that not all heavy bleeds mean the worst. I hope your result is good.

Oh Bonkerz - really feel for you as I've been there myself so recently. Is there another hospital near you? Can you try EPU there - cry on the phone if you have too - and tell them that you can't get through to your local one (they may not even ask). Or just go to a different A&E?

I think you're not far from me Bonkerz - there are a few local private scan places, if you really can't get any joy from the NHS - Fetal Imaging Centre in Leamington , and MUMS in Knowle (Solihull) . The Leamington one is about £40 for a straightforwards scan IIRC - might be worth it for peace of mind if you can't one any other way.
