Boy or girl... did you KNOW

Hi- i'm new here.
Hv DS aged 2.8 and about to TTC # 2. I have a burning question!!
We decided not to find out the sex of DS, save it as a suprise. However, from about six months i was utterly convinced i was having a boy.. and was right! My Midwife said usually when a woman is that sure, she is right. Did this happen to anyone else, and were they right?

Was sure DD#1 was a boy, nope, was sure DD#2 was a boy....nope.
Given up predicting for this one.

Hoped dc1 was a boy, and found out at scan he was! Couldn't think of dc2 as anything other than a boy - I couldn't imagine having a girl, also knowing both sides of family are boy heavy. He was!

So, not certain I KNEW, but certainly couldn't imagine otherwise!

I was absolutely sure from the moment I knew I was pregnant with DD1,and with DD2 from the first, very early scan.I was right, two daughters!

I was utterly convinced my 1st child was a boy and 2nd was a girl and was right both times.

My friend was right in predicting what I was going to have though!

Was absolutely convinced of baby's sex during pregnancy and completely wrong on every occasion! Convinced DD was a boy, and then convinced that at least one of the twins was a boy, neither were! Never ever considered I was having two girls, thought one of each, or two boys, but no! I even complained to the midwife that DH now had three girls! And could she not change one of them?! (I was incredibly tired, and very fond of the gas and air!)

I always thought I would have a boy first and I did. At 15 weeks I had a scan (due to a bleed) and the obstetrician said if he had to put money on it he would say the baby was a girl. I was so shocked and convinced he was wrong. He was.

Sure with both mine, well as sure as you can be. At scan they said woman's intuition is right in 95% of cases! Very high I thought, interesting!

I didn't want to know at the scans so each birth was a surprise.

I was convinced first DC was a boy. Wrong.
I had no idea what DC2 was going to be. Girl.
I was convinced 3rd DC was yet another girl. Wrong.

I did guess my best friends 4 DC's correct each time though.

I knew that my first baby was going to be a girl even before I got pregnant with DD. That sounds weird but it is true!

However, when I got pregnant the 2nd time I wasn't sure at all and I had a DS. I wouldn't have been able to guess either way though.

So I think it's true that when you know you just know.

I wasn't brave enough to buy blue before he arrived. Just as well, cos all those tiny clothes can be used again either way- hopefully!!!!

i knew from very early on. we found out dd's sex at the 20 week scan, if they had said boy i dont think i would have believed them. it never crossed my mind that dd was a boy, i was positive, and obviously right!

I was the same. From about 6 months on I believe, I knew DD would be a girl, and even began calling her by the name we had already chosen. Good job she didn't come out a boy hehe. I also kept saying the number 5 would be something to do with her birthdate, although she was due 10 January, but was born 15 December. I felt quite pleased with myself over that one tehehe.

Yes, I knew so when DD1 was born and DH turned to me and said 'its a girl' I replied 'Of course its a bloody girl, what did you expect?'. But of course, she could just as easily have been a boy!

Yes I knew all the way through.

Imagine my surprise therefore at the birth, when I was completely wrong.

I really do think that women have an intuition about what they're having sometimes.

I found out at the scan but, even before then, I had a feeling that I was having a girl (DD is 2).

My friend didn't find out what she was having and felt all along that she was having a boy. She even had a feeling about the date that he was going to be born on from the beginning and was right!

I had no idea with DD1 until about 2 weeks before birth when I began to think it was a girl.

With the others I had no idea, although looking back I should have guessed DC2 was a boy as I had noone worrying me about how small the baby was like I did with the girls!
