Burst blood vessels through being sick?

I am having a BAD day today and need some advice. This morning I was violently sick(for the first time in ages), and lets just say it was not easy, very dry sorry if TMI. Anyway after this I noticed that I had what looked like a rash appearing on my neck and around my eyes. On closer inspection it looks as if my small blood vessels have burst in these areas causing little spots, like on a love bite or deep brusie. Anyway these are all over my neck, all around my eyes and on my nose a little. I do not know if it was through the pressure of being sick or what. I went and saw a pharmacist who said that I should have my blood pressure checked and I said would it wait to Monday and she thought that it would be fine. Has anyone else had or heard of anything similar or have any advice. I am so tired and emotional today as well and I really need some advice. Help please!

I look very weird now as well!

Yes, I got that too - with low blood pressure. They do disappear reasonably quickly. You have all my sympathy

I had this too. I broke blood vessels in throat, eyes and nose. Pleasant isn't it? My sickness disappeared at around 20 weeks but came back at about 32 weeks.

FWIW, I had very low bp throughout both pgs so don't think that makes a difference.

sympathies

I had terrible retching when pregnant and often had exactly what you describe - and terribly bloodshot eyes. IIRC Twiglett had the same thing. It is just the force of the muscle spasms that break the tiny veins on the surface and they should go away in a few days - though by then you will probably have burst some more. Lots of sympathy, but don't worry about it. (Oh and wait until you pee yourself whilstbeing sick

I suspect it was just the force of being sick plus if you were hanging your head over (is there any other way to be sick?) then you just snagged a few vessels I reckon. My mum always said to me "There's nothing like being pregnant to let you know how well you are" (because of the constant monitoring/tests etc)

this happened to my dd a few years ago. She was violently sick and was literally hanging over the bed being sick so head was down and later I noticed she had little pin prick bruises all round her eyes. Obviously I panicked that it was meningitis but it wasnt.
