I am nearly 38 weeks pg and I cannot take this heat any longer. I am sat here in shorts and t shirt with no less than 3 fans trained on me, my feet and ankles look like giant hams and I feel like a beached whale.

I need to go out to get milk but really cannot bear the thought of pushing DD to the shop in this heat!!

IT IS TOO BLOODY HOT!!!!!!

I'm 37+5wks and haven't ventured very far from the house this week. I went out to my mums today but just sat in her house while she entertained ds for a while. Front door open and fan on full at the mo but i'm still sooooo hot.

on the bright side - thank heavens there isn't a hose pipe ban too. have filled paddling pool and allowed children to spray me repeatedly with hose pipe today (for which they think I am perfect mother figure).

I am with you I want this baby now I am also 38 weeks.
Yesterday I had on an old t shirt that is covered in paint but is the coolest thing I own and my nan decided to tell me off for wearing it so I said I am 38 weeks pg you know to which she replied 'yes and I had four kids and you are only on the second so that's no excuse'.

happy bday to your DS blametheparents. DD's bday is in November so she wont get to do things like that, but DD2 will, lucky her.

Horrible isn't winky, my dad just called and said to wet some cotton socks and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes and put them on. I'm just about to take them out of the freezer, but it sounds like bliss lol.

I totally sympathise. I'm only 22 weeks but I feel swollen, faint and sweaty. Horrible.

Get in a cool bath.

You poor thing.

DS1's birthday is the 29th June and it was very hot the year I had him. On a positive note we had a great BBQ for him on Sunday with lot of family round and then he came home from school on his birthday (Monday) and jumped straight in the paddling pool and ate a NobbyBobbly. Can't do that for a Jan birthday
