can i wear support panties while pregnant

i am talking spanx, bridget jones pants, you know the really tight kind. am going to a wedding (where i am a bridesmaid aaarrggh) in 3 weeks and i'll be 11.5 weeks pregnant (assming all goes well, please send me sticky vibes). i'll be at that horrid stage where i am just fat all over yet not obviously pregnant. can tight panties over my tummy hurt the baby? i will wear them for a few hours only.... please tell me it's ok, it's either that or a burqa....

i wore a pair when about 7 weeks PG (and a bridesmaid as well) with no probs

it will very much depend on how much your bump has grown by then... you won;t hurt your baby, but you might feel bloody uncomfortable....
