Anyone tried fortunebaby.com for the gender test?

Hi all,

Anyone found this test to be correct or incorrect? Am interested becuase they do claim a near 100% sucess rate and promise money back if they prove to be wrong. Cost is US$18 and you have to provide them with you and your partners date of birth plus something like either the day of your last period or your babys' actual due date. Is it a load of rubbish? They say it is based on which chemicals etc were more dominant at the time of conception. But without knowing how long your actual cycle is it does seem unlikely. Mmm. I have had my 12 week scan and doc said there is currently nothing between babys legs but it is too early I think to know? Any advice would be great.

Thank you Pheebe and NoNametoday for your replies. I guess I will just have to wait then. I must get more patient! I already have a little boy and whilst I obviosely pray for a heathly baby whatever the sex I do catch myself looking at girls clothes, especially at Next; they do have some cure stuff. It's been Bob the Builder, Action Man etc for all these years in our house!
Thanks again

Hi nanski,

There was a man some years ago who promised the same, he used to charge about £200 for the service.

He made a lot of easy money with correct 'guesses' and lost nothing with incorrect ones, he just apologised and returned the money.

As pheebe said save the money.

Sounds like utter rubbish to me. As far as I know, chromosomal analysis and birth are the only 100% accurate ways to tell what your babies gender is. Besides, how can they tell what chemicals were dominant in your body on a given day based on when you were born???
I'd save the cash and put it away for your LO frankly. Also docs should be able to tell more at your 20 week scan (if you have one) but even thats not 100%
Congrats on your pregnancy, babies are brilliant whatever their sex
