This is a genius idea dh and I have been having the same debate!! I'm going to suggest we do an envelope. I'd totally sneak a peak tho!!

Mouse that's fair enough but he opened the bloody envelope lol I said I wasn't having it put on me, it had to be his decision seeing as he already knew I wanted to know lol.

I do feel slightly more bonded with him now as it goes, even if it's just something small like being able to call him him instead of it!

No one else knows yet, they still think we're strong & have resisted Grin

Yeah ridiculous comment, there are obviously a lot of surprising things in life and as I said above it's still a surprise whenever you find out. Don't get me started on Please give your DH this simple gift. Squeezing a child out of your vagina is gift enough!!!!!

It's the one thing in life you can genuinely be surprised at.

Really?

So glad you opened the envelope! It's still a surprise whenever you find out, there's no harm in wanting your surprise earlier. I found out with DS and I'm so glad I did because I passed out from blood loss not long after giving birth so I wouldn't have even remembered finding out that he was a boy, where as I really got to enjoy finding out my scan!

Haha brilliant Grin

If it makes you feel any better I had to know - i hate surprises and wanted to bond with my little boy! It was an amazing moment when we found out. The birth is amazing enough as it is Smile

Love that you found out! I was the same as you - so impatient!!! We had an extra scan to find out early Blush so you did better than me. Congratulations so exciting. Completely understand wanting to know I just needed too! Though like you just happy either way but now it's easier to think of names mostly.

That's the thing though sj the only surprise is if you give birth to a puppy, otherwise it's either a boy or a girl haha!

I have a lot of admiration for people who aren't impatient & can go all the way to the end but I can't I'd end up clawing at my own face desperate to know haha

Aw congratulations! I actually laughed out loud that your DH opened the envelope, I'm also in the 'too impatient to wait' camp Blush

sj257 · 23/01/2017 17:22

I've found out all 3 times, I'm far too impatient and I don't like surprises 😂

I'm sorry Sad i am quite ashamed of myself that I couldn't do it seeing as this will be my last one. But my god the relief! I don't even know what for, because I genuinely wouldn't care what it was, but the relief of knowing! We haven't told anyone, don't want everyone to know how weak we are haha

Literally just sat there a minute ago & whacked him on the arm & said I can't believe you bloody gave in GrinGrin

He said he had to or I would have driven him round the bend & we'd have ended up killing each other haha! Excuses
