Sore Hands?

I'm nearly 35 weeks pg.
I'm finding now that my hands are really hurting and stiff. My fingers keep locking in position and my ring doesn't fit anymore.
Is this normal?
Also is there anything I can take to make it better?

Its probably just water retention. I've had it since about 25 weeks (and in my feet too, although they're just swollen, not sore)

I find it worse on a morning when I wake up -they're very sore then and I have to scrunch them up and release them for a while to get them 'working' properly.

The only relief I get is to hold them under cold water for a bit. Unfortunately I havent found anything else that helps apart from that method - if you do - post it up here!!

I had the same thing with my dd and haven't been able to wear my rings since (she's now 16 months). I'd also tried to take up knitting in the later stages of pregnancy but had to stop as my hands were too stiff and sore.

I'd say it's not unusual, rather than it being normal. Have a look in a pregnancy book/online at Carpel Tunnel syndrome, you may get some help there.

I never found anything to help it, but moaning at my DH made me feel a bit better .

Can this be the sign of Tunnel Carpel syndrom? I haven't had it but that's what springs to mind. Hope you are okay.
