Baby movements

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with first baby and I've read that you should be able to feel baby movements around now, especially if it's your second pregnancy. They say this is because you know what they feel like and are able to differentiate between a baby movement and something else. Soo I was thinking I must be able to feel something too, just not know that it is baby movements. Question is can someone explain what they feel like?

It's a fluttery feeling or like water running through your tummy before it feels like definite kicks! However don't worry if you can't feel anything yet as it also depends on where your placenta is. Mine was in front of the baby so took longer to feel movements,

A tip is lie in a dark room fully concentrating on your tummy after lunch/something sugary Smile

I had movements from about 19w with my first DD and this time around I was about 16w. It's like a fluttery popping feeling early on, a bit like a gurgling tummy. You won't see anything and it's fairly unpredictable at the start, but now at 29w I can sit and watch my tummy move and everyone else can feel the kicks too!
It's a lovely feeling, enjoy x

Hi. I am 24 weeks and for a few weeks have felt some movement I think but not totally sure as it could've been stretching or my stomach. I have only felt definite kicks in the last week which literally feels like someone is kicking me from inside and I can see my stomach move. However my placenta is at the front and was warned I may feel it later because of this.
