Hi, im 37+5 and I've just spent the night in hospital with horrendously high blood pressure (184/96 at its worst). They gave me a tablet and it's now in the normal range so I've been sent home.
The other thing is though I've been contracting like a son of a bitch! Had heaps of them but not regular in the slightest. They're not always painful but have really grown in intensity to the point that when I'm contracting I can't breathe properly.
Might the two be related? The hospital staff didn't seem that concerned.

Thanks whatsername, I think they were too! I went as far as to time them and phoned labour ward but they've really eased off now. They got to about 10 mins apart and lasting around a minute.
No other signs though, waters not burst, no show and the contractions have really subsided now. Still getting tightening sand shortness of breath during them but they're very few and far between now.
Hope this means wee man will be with us sooner rather than later!

I think you might find they are actually contractions!
