Boy or girl what do you think? just curious :D

Hi ladies!

I had my 12+6 scan today and me and my partner are split with me convinced little baba is a girl and him thinking a boy! We'll be over the moon whatever we have!

Just curious as to what you ladies might think! I've tried going via the nub theory but I can't really see the nub!

Any guesses via any theory or feeling are much appreciated haha! x

Aww, I'll play along with you OP Wink

I'm going to guess girl going off the nub... although I thought that with mine and he's definitely a boyGrin

Doesn't matter in the long run though - boys/girls they're all awesome ( and much the same for the first few years Grin ) Congratulations Flowers

Ah thank you! Haha :)

Whatever we have we'll be made up of course but it's always nice to hear what people think!

Hope everything is well with your little boy :)

Ah everyone who has played along on here has said girl too, fancy that!

It is a baby! That's all I kept saying at my scan whilst crying yesterday "oh my gosh, it's a baby!" Haha X

Hi there, just a little reminder that Mumsnet is about making parents' lives easier.

We've had quite a few reports about this thread and we can see why. Hoping everyone can be naice going forward...

I think that looks like a girl nub.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. x

Congratulations!

No idea if it is a boy or girl. At least one of you or your partner is right! Totally understand that feeling of being excited and wanting to talk about your baby.

Thank you to both of you!

Haha that's true, it won't be an unexpected surprise whatever we have, it's definitely a human and a baby which is the fab! :')

Crikey...I just do not understand why people feel the need to comment in such a nasty manner if they do not like one persons thread. Don't like it then move on, some people do like to guess on threads some don't. And for people to then jump on the bandwagon is just petty.

OP, I think if that is the nub what I am seeing (hard to tell looks like part of it with some missing) then my guess would be girl. Have you tried posting on In-gender? Those are really good with nub images and I got a clean sweep of guesses which was confirmed four weeks after I put it on. I had a very obvious nub image however.
Congratulations :)

Bloody hell - sure, the question is 50/50 (therefore pointless to some), but shit the beddddd! I reckon some people purely open threads to be antagonistic...

I've not a fecking clue, I don't understand the nub theory but you've got a baby right there and it's a beautiful photo. Mine was all fuzzy Grin. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and don't worry about grockles over here on MN, some people don't like it when people don't fit the arbitrary MN mould....

Hey I'm new here and just signed up! I thought I'd check out how to use this! In relation to your post, I'm terrible at guessing but I'd say girl!

On another note, I've noticed people aren't too friendly on here! I see a lot of nasty and rude comments. I'm too worried to even post on here now! I came from BabyCentreUK to try and just chat with different people but it seemed friendlier there. Blush

Nasty, nasty posts at the start of this - why oh why??? Angry
OP enjoy your pregnancy! With one pregnancy I had a lengthy scan at 12w where the sonographer tried to determine the sex of the baby(my dad was dying and I wanted him to know). Sonographer said 'girl' but was wrong!! So, with that knowledge, I will say BOY for you Smile

Annabrooke90 thanks you!

I know my nub is very hard to decipher if it's visible at all (I'm awful at them haha!) but no I haven't tried on there, I'd never heard of it before!

Ah thank you I was impressed at the clarity actually I expected baby to look less human and more alien like haha but I was chuffed to bits to see a proper tiny human there!

I wouldn't worry about any nasty comments, you'll get some people with nasty things to say wherever you post, you just learn to live with it haha! :)

Not sure I was nasty, I was just pointing out that you started this exact same thread less than 24 hours ago (to which you've had responses) - I don't know why you didn't just carry on with that one instead of duplicating it and therefore clogging up the board which has far more important topics on it imo.

I do find these kind of posts a waste of time but I didn't intend to come across as nasty. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Kinky

Can't you just bump your thread from yesterday instead of clogging up the Pregnancy board with this pointless guff?

That was nasty comment. Unlike you I never see this post yesterday. You did not need to comment. But your first comment about pointless guff is nasty. It's not pointless to the OP.

I think boy OP - congratulations!

Kinky was tame compared to the one thankfully deleted by Mumsnet HQ, was completely disrespectful, nasty and rude! Not very nice but not that bad really.

I'm so glad OP you have some nice people on here now :) I love seeing these types of photos I also like the kittens in the litter tray but that's also not everyone's cup of tea :)

mummy don't ever go near step patenting - will make your toes curl! But it is a few who do this, just report them and the good ladies at MN-HQ kick em up the bottom.

And I had no idea you could not say ladies... Or do X... Oops :)

I think girl op! Congratulations-please don't let any of the nastier posts put you off the pregnancy board-it was a source of great support for me during my pregnancy.

I heard this place was supposed to be supportive it sounds absolutely vile. Only joined today but don't think I'll be using this site again, to many nasty comments and cliquey responses to a harmless post. I think girl but I'm terrible at this sort of thing! Best of look with your pregnancy!
