Tiny bleed last night - now second guessing myself...

I'm nearly 30 weeks. Last night (sorry for tmi) went for a pee and there was a tiny bit of blood on the paper (small streak of red blood about an inch long). Second wipe produced a tiny bit more, but none after that. There was none actually in the loo, as far as I could tell, and none continuing to come out.
I phoned midwife at the hospital I'm booked in at, who hummed and hawed, said it sounded like nothing to worry about as baby was moving fine, I'm not Rh- and placenta's not low, but on balance to come in anyway just to be checked. On discovering that I'm not actually at home at the moment but staying at my mother's, she suggested ringing the local hospital maternity triage here and going in there instead. I rang them, got exactly the same set of questions and provided exactly the same info, and was told again that it sounded like nothing, but to put a pad on and watch for an hour or two, and not to come in unless there was any more blood. By this time it was 2am, I didn't want to drive the hour to my first hospital who would see me, so I took the advice of local hospital and went to bed.
This morning, and all day today, no further blood or any problems - baby seems to be moving fine, nothing hurts - but I'm getting increasingly panicked that I should have driven home to the hospital and was really selfish not to take the chance to get checked.
Anyone got any reassurance? Realise I'm probably being ridiculous. DP's been away for a few days - flying in later tonight, and my mother glazes over and looks ready to faint at the mention of anything medical, so have nobody to talk me down...

Hi Sammyad I'm nearly 35 weeks and have had bleeding on and off throughout - currently been bleeding for 3 1/2 weeks. To start with I was just as panicked as you, but having been checked for the early episodes and told not to worry unless it becomes heavy/clot like, I don't worry as much now.

Keep an eye on it and if it reoccurs get in touch with the midwife and go in - they'll probably do an internal and take swabs to check everything.

Thanks

It sounds like it's probably nothing.... but if the midwife said it might be a good idea to get it checked, why not?

I know, I have my own thread going in a similar vein! But you should relax, honestly.

Thank you. Think spending the day revising foetal abnormalities and complications associated with pregnancy for an exam next week has not done good things for my anxiety levels... Blush.

there really is no need to go in though, they cant do much of anything. Its not classed as a bleed if its just a little bit on the paper. You have good movement, no pain, no bleeding....you're fine.
If you have any pain or bleeding, or reduced movement, go in. But as it is, youre fine.
