hi everyone. im due on Friday but have a awful feeling I could be pregnant.

dh has had snip but I have been pregnant 4 times and sometimes its just unmistakable.
im hoping im wrong but here goes.

I have taken 3 first responses tests. all have dark tips at top and bottom and a fainter line through.

sainsburys own test keeps coming up with a dark but skinny line- I have read about these and apparently mostly negatives.

so today I trotted to the shop bought a 2 pack got my mum who is def bot pregnant too pee on one and I did other
. again the skinny line comes up for me nothing for mum.

im not talking anymore tests anymore im driven demented.

anyone had any of these and been negative ir positive?

dh is booked in for a check for his semen tom to double check

so glad you have answers and are relieved. Chocolate is surely medicinal at times like this.

hi everyone .. long week if stress has ended. we have a very very heavy period that has just started!

I have since wrote a letter to first response and sainsburys regarding there tests! I did a first response and sainsburys this morning and didn't open and again same lines!

angry with myself for kind if believing them and making my poory dh send a sample off. Also angry all the stress we have been through all week and if any couple desperately wanted a baby would get lines like that, the heartbreak would be awful.

any who im stuffing myself with chocolate and sitting here feeling so relieved that I don't have a awful decision to make.

I hope you get some clear answers. I did cheap internet tests two days before I was due really feint line next morning first wee of the day i did a Clear blue digital and was quick to come up 2-3 weeks pregnant so in my experience it would have picked up on the hcg hormone unless you ovulated late and its just not strong enough hopefully you will get an answer one way or another in a day or two

Depends on what time you get the bloods done and where they send it to be tested. At my docs results are same day if you go in the morning

Yeah mine were all skinnier, I remember being on a ttc forums panicking about it as iv miscarried before and was worried they weren't gettin darker, also I had a 1st response one first n that came back negative, n then my internet cheapies showed the really faint positive (won't lie, was a poas addict) but like I say iv never seen an evaporation line, so I can't say that urs arnt evap lines, however I believe that evaporation lines are usually colourless rather than pink or blue so I dunno if that may help... I'm no expert tho so I'm really sorry if that info is incorrect! I had a quick google n it says about colourless lines here:

I'd be really surprised if these aren't positive. I've broken open loads of tests in my time and have never seen a line unless I was pregnant or it was a digital

I think dh is going to get me a digital.

I have been having skinny lines on all of them all week

I had skinny lines like that for about a week before getting a strong one with my current pregnancy, on 4 different makes of cheap tests so personally I think a line is a line, although I have never seen an evap line so I don't no how similar they are. Hopefully if u can get a blood test that will give u some deffinitive answers. Hope ur ok, must be an insanely stressful time!

Do a digital one that will say 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant'.

no your right.

ahhhh my friend bought me round one she had in her house weed on it. a definite blue like but cery skinny popped right up! all the ones I do either have these weird skinny lines or the other weird line's.

so I don't know. its not as fat as the control line abd the leaflet sais has to be same width. . so why do I keep getting skinny lines?

I have ordered the cheap ones off eBay a load for 2:99 so ill just pee on them all ha ha

The cheap ones I buy do have covers (normally 2 for 99p at the shop) and have also used the strip tests without covers from ebay-

I think there is a difference between ones that do not have covers and are therefore designed to be read without, and those that do have covers and are designed not to be opened....

I do understand that total head massacre that is an uncertain test, but I think opening them is just adding another layer of confusion you don't need, really.

all the cheap ones don't have covers?

I thought I saw it but because of the plastic I wasn't sure if it was a shadow so just opened it looked saw it then binned it.

Lady, please, please stop opening them, it is not helping you.

Buy a cheap one (poundland ones are fine) do it and DO NOT OPEN. EVER. If you can see a faint line in the packaging= a faint positive. If you can not see a faint line whilst still in the packaging, throw it away.

Or I'm sure your GP would give you one if you get to go in for a blood test this afternoon (although I think the NHS ones are more likely to give a false negative as they need a higher concentration of HCG to give a positive, so I'd still be tempted to avoid this route and buy a cheap one instead).

also last pregnancy and the only one I had hcg levels done my hormones didn't double ..hardly anything actually. was told a mc.

turned out to be twins. so another thought that my levels may not double or maybe it was just that pregnancy! who knows
