Potty training

Do I ditch the night time training?

Dd is 3y 8mths and in Easter begged to go without nappy at night (she's been daytime trained since 1.5 yrs bcos of bad nappy rash).
We agreed and the first night she was dry and then it was a few accidents over a week. However, recently it's been 1-2 wees/night and dh wants her back in nappies so that we can get some sleep.
I'm tired too but think that it's better to stick with it (process begun, good weather, school hols being some of the reasons) and try to use a rewards system in the first instance to see if it will work. Is this sensible?

If she can get up in night and get to toilet or potty by herself and then get back in to bed there's no probs right? Or is she wetting the bed?
If she's wetting the bed you can try night lifting last thing before you turn in. Or just put her back in pull ups and wait till they are consistantly dry in morning.

Put nappies back on.

Apparently there's some hormone which we produce which concentrates our wee at night so we don't need to go. Your dd simply doesn't have that yet and so she is being set up to fail.

They all get it at different times and bed wetting isn't considered a problem until they are 7.

Potty is beside her bed and she does get up and use it sometimes (every morning there is wee in it) but is not consistent.
I fear the prospect of stopping and starting all over again bcos how will I know when this hormone kicks in?

Hi, i have the same problem, 3 year old daughter toilet trained during the day, but at night continues to wet the bed. If i do put a nappy on her 9 out of 10 times she is dry in the morning, but when i leave a nappy off she wets the bed sometime more than ones a night!!

A friend also said that bed wetting was not considered a propblem until 7 so since i'm pregnant and need the sleep put her back in nappies at night, but if she does pee in the nappy it overflows and she still wets the bed, anybody got any suggestions for a good night nappy?
