My 2.5 yr old DD has been dry for a month or so now, all wees in potty or toilet, no accidents home or nursery which is great BUT she will not poo anywhere other than a nappy. She holds it in all day at nursery then when she gets home cries for a nappy to be put on so she can do her poo, will get in such a state if I say no to the nappy and as she refuses to sit on the potty or toilet to do it she ends up holding it in until she goes to bed as she's still in nappies at night and does it in the middle of the night. I've tried cutting a hole in the nappy but she wized up to that straight away and then refused to even poo in nappy and became constipated.
Anyone else had this? Should I just keep putting a nappy on for her to poo in and hope she eventually moves on from that or will she get lazy and never bother trying to poo on the potty? I've tried bribery, I've tried stories about babies needing the nappies back etc, I've tried sitting with her etc but nothing seems to be working yet! Any advice hugely appreciated.
