Hi everyone looking for some advice regarding my 3rd baby, who is of course different to my other 2!

Last night he fed 3-4 ounces every 2 hours, winded well but was still unsettled.

We have tried more formula but he throws up or falls asleep at any more than 4oz.

He constantly 'mooches' so we've tried a dummy but he constantly spits it out then cries.

He's generally more settled during the day than at night.

Is this normal?

Sounds normal to me, not sure which part you're worried is abnormal? I'm sure my daughter could eat 3-4oz at a time almost immediately, she was a hungry baby. And it's definitely normal for a baby to be more settled during the day. They don't have circadian rhythms yet, and when in the womb they generally sleep during the day as lulled to sleep by the movement, then active at night when you're still. So they come out all backwards and need to learn when daytime is. Make sure you're exposing them to daylight in the morning, but this will just take time to adjust.

If you're worried they're unsettled, have you tried stuff for gas like the stomach massages and bicycle legs etc if all other needs are met? The frida windi is great for checking this also!
