1 week postpartum bleeding

Hi guys,

Just looking for some advice/reassurance.

I had my baby 1 week ago today. It was a forceps delivery and I am on daily injections for the blood clotting.

By Friday last week the bleeding had almost stopped, could have probably got away with no pad at all however Friday night/Saturday morning, the bleeding has returned, red blood, mainly when I go to the toilet and I am passing clots mainly about the size of a 20p. Every time I think it's calming down it seems to come back.

I have no pain, no fever, I'm not flooding pads but my anxiety is through the roof with it.

I mentioned it to the midwife yesterday and she didn't seem concerned but I just can't help but worry.

The only thing I can think is I braved shaving my legs in the shower Friday evening and afterwards had some pain at the bottom of my belly then the bleeding seemed to ramp up afterwards.

Could I have just strained myself too much in the shower?

I would feel some much better if it just started to change colour but it doesn't seem to be doing.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

If you’ve no signs of infection then I wouldn’t be worried at 1 week.
