TMI (with photos) but this is freaking me out

Hi everyone I apologise in advice for been TMI

I'm 7 weeks postpartum and this last week I've been having extreme loss of what I can only describe as what looks like my mucus plug.
Every time I wipe there is something there, sometimes its just a little bit but last 3 days it's been so much and it's so thick.

I've tried getting into the doctors but they are reall playing me about even though they know I'm due for my 6 to 8 week check up anyway and I'm starting to get more worried the thicker and more frequent it's becoming

Are you feeling well? Any temperature? I would worry about post partum infection and I think you should seek medical attention quickly, don't wait for the GP. How about ringing the hospital where you gave birth for advice?

I feel fine. No temperature and apart from been tierd because my baby doesn't sleep 🤣 I feel good in every other way. There is no smell to it and I did ring the hospital and all they said was go to my GP
(I should mention I had an emergency c-section not a vaginal birth)

I had something similar to this after my cs. I had some sort of blood clot that would not come out. It wasn’t an infection. In the end I took a course of tablets to induce a period that flushed out my uterus.

@Haggisfish3 was it serious? And was there any other symptoms apart from the mucus?

No it was really weird. I sort of bled tiny amounts but no infection at all. An odd very yellow, almost mucus discharge at times. Eventually I paid for a private ultrasound that revealed some ‘fluid’ in my uterus. I then went back to go and requested a course of noresthisterone to induce a period and clear it out as it were.

I had similar after my c section.
Went to Dr who did swabs but all came back normal. They gave no explanation for it. Eventually it stopped.

I have the exact same thing and I’m also 7 weeks postpartum, it literally looks like a piece of raw chicken almost or mucus plug

Did they say if it clears up on its own?
