Hi,

I was woundering if anyone had any advice or comments on the below.

I gave birth to my son 9 months ago on 27th December. At my 6 week post naetal check I went back on Cerezette contraceptive pill which I was also on previously to getting pregnant. Since then I have been taking this pill and my periods are all over the place! I can bleed/spotting for a few days stop and then a few days later it starts again. Might go a week without any of lucky! My partners says I'm moody all the time (tbh I don't think I am lol) and I also lost hair around my hairline after birth which i read can be a side effect of the pill! I also have become very spotty! Do these all sound familiar side effects of this pill? I spoke to the doctor as I'm also due a smear and due to bleeding all the time becoming impossible to do! He did say it can take a while for everything to go back to normal previously I didn't have any periods before I was pregnant!

It's now starting to get me down a little although when I do bleed it's not much and bearable but it's more annoying more than anything! I'm thinking about coming off it and maybe just letting my body have more time to get back to normal with no contraception

I think you should go back with a list of symptoms you're having and say you are not happy

There are several brands of mini pill - go back to your doc and see if you can either try another or talk about different options. Sometimes you will react to one more than another.

Iud is a good option. Copper if you don't feel hormonal methods work.

I came off it because it made me so moody. I didn't have periods or spots though, just horrible moods. Everything annoyed me every day. Now I just get PMT. Same thing, but only for a few days a month!
