Stormy you rock! I've always said there was a someone worth something hiding in there, and there bl**dy well is. That charity shop is very lucky to have you.
Jabs, Oods thanks for your input. I found a private GP who does them through the local private hospital, so if you are struggling to find anywhere Pud you could do the same. Said GP doesn't have the vaccines in stock this week, but is going to call me when they come in. MetroMedical do have stocks - they're London and SE, but I am sure they could refer you on to associated companies.
As for us , well we've had a really good day. For once. It was so good, it almost included a nap... that is until the bstrd dog went mental at a pigeon and yelled his wrath at the entire neighbourhood, literally just as she dropped off. But I didn't care, because DH got a later train this morning giving me time to go for a 30 min run! Yay. I don't think I've moved more than a single muscle since February. Sadly this showed. Whereas once I could run a whole 10km without breaking a sweat, today a staggered less than half that and definitely needed a shower. Worse, the tops of my legs now wobble . They've never done that before!
Also... wait for it.... today we had not one but two glazing firms on site. How about that. It's like buses I guess. You wait days for one, and then two turn up at once. Why two you ask? Well you probably don't, what with it being boring, but I will tell you anyway. Two, because the glaziers doing the roof, recommended a joinery firm to make the windows, and (this is the good bit) the joinery firm then used their rivals for the window panes! Diplomatic. Not. The unexpected upside, there seemed to be some sort of male pride competition going on out there, with each company trying to out do the other one, and both raising sneery eyebrows at the other's work behind their backs. Certainly kept me entertained. As did the view. I think team 1 had the other's pipped on speed and workmanship, but team 2, wow sexist comment alert Let's just say the diet coke man has nothing on those guys I hope they are back tomorrow
I am loving the toddly stage more than ever now, as today dolitoddle went to the back porch, picked up the end of the dogs' ball thrower, handed it to me, then grabbed my hand and literally dragged me round to the back garden to find the dogs, puffing and panting, and falling over in her haste. I love it that she loves the dogs and already knows how to play games with them
