Hiya,

We are organising our son's first birthday party. And looking for a caterer to take care of the food. But apparently, there are more adults in this party with only 3 kids.. So it's a close friend's party.

Any suggestions for a good caterer would be very appreciated. And any tips to organise things at home. Or any other ideas or tips are very welcome.

Thanks a lot!

I ordered from waitrose for my dc's first birthdays as the guests were mostly close friends and family. Excellent food and a good choice of birthday cakes too.

Keep it simple and you don't need a caterer e.g. A variety of cheeses, pâté, French bread, dips,crudités... add some sandwiches, cucumber, carrot sticks, maybe mini sausages, kids sorted too. For both add Birthday cake and fruit. Why go to the expense of a caterer?

Why do you need a caterer, unless your having 100's of people.

If you don't want to do the food yourself order it from Waitrose or M & S

Thanks whattodoo.
I meant we are looking for a caterer who can take care of the food required for the party. We are based in Isle of Docks.

Your tips are helpful. will keep in mind to be simple! Thanks:)

I don't really understand your second sentence, sorry.

But in order to get recommendations of caterers, you'll have to indicate your location.

Tips? Keep it simple and short. Nibbles and drinks for the adults, finger sandwiches, fruit and fairy cakes for the children.

Lovely birthday cake ( don't forget the camera ) and you're done.
