Last couple of weeks i have become impatient with dd, unable to stand her whinging when normally i can kind of ignore it and i've just generally become a grumpy old trout. I dont like the mum i'm being at the moment - any suggestions????

Take a break, a bath or a walk, whatever is possible. How old is dd? Is she whinging unnecessarily, in which case try to ignore and ask her to talk properly, if you talk back to the whinge she'll continue to use it.Has anything changed that has upset her and caused the whinge, is it a back to baby step because she's unsettled about something. Make the most of positive time when she's not whingey, praising her for talking properly as a big girl or whatever is appropriate for her level and age.

Good Luck, i think they all whinge sometimes, you are not alone. My 2.8yr old does it too!

Take a break from dd, even if just for a few hours. It will give you a chance to re-energise and will hopefully make you look forward to being mum to dd again. This is the only way I survive!
