We had the books when ds was little (don’t think the car teens were out there). He didn’t seem to be such a little rabbit dropping in the books.

Nope, all parents of toddlers hold a huge amount of disdain (and other, stronger emotions!) for Bing. Sodding Coco is worse though.

Our 21 month old LOVES him 😩

I'm hoping that link will work. It's a Facebook post about bing that man vs baby did, it's very funny!

Oh I hate Bing too. Raa raa is a naughty pest at times too but at least he puts things right.

I only know one person in real life who likes Bing (like, really likes Bing). You can imagine.

We are a Duggee household like I expect most other Bing haters are!

I would watch Duggee all day myself quite happily, just wish the episodes were longer.

Any tik tak fans? DS is obsessed.

mynameiscalypso · 06/09/2020 08:28

We were watching too (while I was, DS was whacking two bits of plastic together as per usual) and I agree with all of the comments about what a whiny little shit he is. We are definitely a Dugee household too; I sometimes laugh out loud at that.

@Disappointedkoala

Just seen it too. I think the episode where Bing breaks Flops phone is the worst. Flip just used it as yet another excellent parenting opportunity whereas I would absolutely loose my shit.

I loathe that episode!
Worst thing is, I knew a 2 year old who left a brand new iPad (from Santa) outside all night in the rain....and his daddy bought him a brand new one the next day because whoops!

Yes, Duggee and Proud in this house! Lots of laugh out loud moments there! My favourite episode of Duggee is the Sandcastle badge (gosh I can't believe I wrote that sentence let alone posted it in a public forum!! Grin)

Bing is so annoying.

We love Hey Duggee and Bluey

Bing drives me insane. The first character pronounced a word correctly then the others all mispronounce it, and of course my kid picks up the mispronounced version. Why would you purposely teach kids the wrong word 😡

I like the one where he puts a shoe down the toilet and the woman elephant says " if it's not a pee, paper or poo, you mustn't put it down the loo".

FTMF30 · 06/09/2020 08:50

Oh no! I actually like Bing. But this may be by way of comparison after months of enduring Peppa Pig. Can't stand that and DS picked up saying "no" in that infuriating tone like George. rolls eyes

I hate bing! Whiney little turd.
Flop drives me and with his enabling behaviour.
And why on earth does pando remove his trousers in the opening scene and consequently always just has underpants on....very strange

theAntsareMyFriends · 06/09/2020 09:15

I always feel sorry for Sula who just has to suck it up when her shoes get put down the loo, her painting gets ruined and her drum broken.

Flop is a smug enabler who is convinced he is a brilliant dad.

It did give a new dimension to Wolf Hall (Mark Rylance) as I saw Cronwell as a complete enabler too and was just waiting for him to appear at the end with "executing your wife - it's a Henry thing".

I find Coco insufferable too. Pando is quite endearing and I like Sula.

Report
Heyha · 06/09/2020 09:53

Oh yes I think if Sula was the main character it would be ok, although the mispronunciations are the other thing that drives me crackers. I want to hate Yakka Dee for being an annoying format but I can't because I can see how it's educational. I really can't see anything that Bing has going for it!

My favourite Duggee moment is when Mole puts his glasses on after they've been fixed

Also a Duggee fan 😁 Thankfully so is my son, though Go Jetters is his favourite. I love Twirlywoos, mainly for the theme tune.

I don't let him watch Peppa 🤷 My friend's daughter was obsessed with it a few years ago and I thought it was awful, so I am cruelly denying him it.

I find some kids programs you can easily tune out. Becomes like white noise. Bing is not one of those. Whingy little twat.
My eldest went through a massive spongebob phase. I still hear that spongey twats laugh in my nightmares.

If I was an actor and needed something to trigger anger in my delivery, I’d just sing ‘rainybow’ in my head and I reckon I’d get an Oscar for my believable emotional performance.

Flop has the patience of a saint. If I had to put up with the constant whining from Bing, I'd have long been driven mad.

You need to watch the episode where Bing keeps spilling things and Flop just wants 'a nice cup of coffee'. Argh.

Yes definitely this- if I don't actively want to watch it, if I can tune it out then all good. Twirlywoos, tellytubbies, Pablo, all ok on that basis, couldn't sit and watch them but tolerable.

I've just remembered the other one that does my head in. Waffle. STFU, Waffle.
