I am a relatively new mum, 17m old son has cbeebies on for breakfast, and I suddenly realised this Bing creature who can't speak properly kept appearing. What a load of shite. I am so glad everyone feels the same 😂😂😂😂 Duggee is a firm favourite here, especially Roly, absolutely hilarious

@SqidgeBum

Since we are on the topic of ridiculousness in cbeebies shows, is anyone else frustrated by the lack of size perspective in 'In the night garden'? The ninky nonk and pinky ponk are clearly the size of a large toy, yet they all are able to just walk in and sit inside? Also, the tomliboos have to squeeze in and out of their house, but it looks like a start trek spaceship on the inside. Wtf? There is no consistency with size at all.

It’s because they’re all figments of Iggle Piggle’s dying consciousness.

Don't go there. Nothing good will come of it...

@Disappointedkoala

WTF is Baby Jake?! It's replaced twirlywoos at 6.20 am and it's bloody awful. I'm starting to judge my DD for enjoying it.

Basically concocted on a bad acid comedown. Surely

This is the ultimate Bing post! I read this years ago and it sums up my feelings perfectly.

Ugh the dreaded tinkly music is coming from the TV right as we speak.

I thought it was Bing that annoyed me most but it is actually the absolute ridiculous spineless pandering that bothers me the most. Why teach kids that's the way carers should be? I'm very fluffy and lovey dovey with my kids but I absolutely despise the notion that absolutely every minute routine activity has to be some kind of make believe game for Bing to be on board with it. It's ridiculous, even tiny kids can understand that some things we do for fun and some things we do to look after ourselves and the space around us. But not Bing, oh noo, everything has to be absolutely to Bings liking, and god forbid that anyone tell the little fucker he should stop doing something. ARGH.

(Got my period today Blush )

@Rainallnight

I fucking hate Waffle. Over-indulged bit of rug.

I agree!!! Also who even trusted those people with a dog let alone children? The teacher Dad seems to have 2 brain cells and be a 5 year old in a man's body. They spend their time running around after him and singing 'every night we're awake when you're woofing, we still love you'.

No! Teach the dog to behave! He runs bloody riot.

I spend my time sympathising with their poor neighbour.

@FelicityPike now I wouldn't buy or let a two year old use an iPad in the first place but isn't that the parent's fault? I know its consequences iPad not put away = no iPad but surely parent was checking things like that were brought in? Or does everyone else's two year old put everything away in its correct place automatically every night? (Mine will tidy when asked but I have to remind myself to check garden etc half the time so don't really expect her to at 2!)

Waffle needs to go visit a lab to be directed.

Bing steals to. Murderer, thief, general bad in. He'll end up on jail at 21 with a couple of kids by Sula who'll think she can fix him

If I was a child with a dog, I'd be so pissed off that waffle gets all this special treatment when he's a bit of a dick.

vampirethriller · 07/09/2020 12:49

Waffles voice is maddening. Why do they let him take over every single thing? Why does he talk? Why is Evie only 5 when the actress is clearly about 10? Who the hell thought Simon would be a good teacher when all he does is run round apologising for the bloody dog?

@Lofari

I find some kids programs you can easily tune out. Becomes like white noise. Bing is not one of those. Whingy little twat.
My eldest went through a massive spongebob phase. I still hear that spongey twats laugh in my nightmares.

Yes definitely this- if I don't actively want to watch it, if I can tune it out then all good. Twirlywoos, tellytubbies, Pablo, all ok on that basis, couldn't sit and watch them but tolerable.

I've just remembered the other one that does my head in. Waffle. STFU, Waffle.

You need to watch the episode where Bing keeps spilling things and Flop just wants 'a nice cup of coffee'. Argh.

Report
mynameiscalypso · 07/09/2020 07:14

Flop has the patience of a saint. If I had to put up with the constant whining from Bing, I'd have long been driven mad.

If I was an actor and needed something to trigger anger in my delivery, I’d just sing ‘rainybow’ in my head and I reckon I’d get an Oscar for my believable emotional performance.

Also a Duggee fan 😁 Thankfully so is my son, though Go Jetters is his favourite. I love Twirlywoos, mainly for the theme tune.

I don't let him watch Peppa 🤷 My friend's daughter was obsessed with it a few years ago and I thought it was awful, so I am cruelly denying him it.
