How scrubby are you?

In my dreams, I have everything organised and everything happens calmly and smoothly… in the evenings, we eat a healthy home-cooked supper, have some quiet reading time and play a family game, a happy bathtime, everything is ready for the morning,…

True, we managed to make our own jam last week from the damsons we picked in the garden. DH took the girls to the woods one evening. We went for a day out at a local farm and museum at the weekend. We do things. And there are reasons it is hard… DH works night-hours, I work part-time and struggle with a chronic illness.

But but but I just can’t keep everything up. So, the washing usually sometimes gets left on the line overnight for days. One day last week DD1 (5) fell asleep early when reading on the couch. I carried her to her bed in her school clothes… and well, ahem, we didn’t have time to get changed in the morning… so she went back to school the next day having not changed at all!!!! Are we the only ones like this? Who don’t manage to wash hair every week? Who sometimes find rotting things in the car? What’s the scrubbiest thing that’s happened in your house?

I've found a god knows how old wet nappy in my change bag on many occasion . A couple of day old bottle of milk gone stale in the car. I actualy think I'm quite in top if things but having little people can quite often be crazy x

I'm awful. While I'm on top of the laundry something else is falling behind...

I regularly find grim food in the fridge.

I've just remembered the worst one! Getting the cake tin to put some freshly baked cakes in it and finding 3 green fuzzy things which may have once been scones. Ugh. The whole lot went in the bin, tin and all!
