Sp what are your babies doing while you're on Mumsnet?

This isn't criticism, it's guilt about leaving mine alone cos I'm getting addicted to the computer. She doesn't seem to like being on my lap while I'm online so usually I'm nipping between her and the pc or waiting until she's asleep.

Is leaving a baby to play with baby gym/toy ok for short periods (assuming they are perfectly safe and not crying).

Sometimes it's useful because she needs to wind down & go to sleep so I don't think ignoring her does her any harm but when there's a really interesting thread going I'm hopping between her & the pc! Anyone else?

Just enjoy it Magscat, ds has to be alseep before I'd attempt to come on here, either he switches the PC off when I'm mid thread or he wrecks the room behind me in a nanosecond...

Ahh the days when he laid under a gym gently kicking and gurgling....I used to make phonecalls, read magazines, drink coffee....

lucky you. DT1 is awake which means I am awake. I'm so looking forward to the DTs sleeping through.

playing on the floor
sleeping
eating
crying?!

she needs to learn to be independent - im not going to pander after her every need 24/7. that linked with the fact dh is home for another week and a half is great! I have more time off than i know what to do with! (dd is 10 months)

MarsLady - but are they dressed? My ds used to like waving at passers by - particularly when he's starkers

My DD (3 in August) is either napping when I'm on MN or at one of her twice weekly nursery sessions. My DSs are both at school.

I'd love to be able to MN throughout the day, regardless, but the pc is upstairs in DS2's room and DD is likely to wreck the room etc if I leave her unattended. She'd get into all manner of mischief !

My DTs have now had their bath and I've fed them. Instead of falling asleep like they should they have gained a new bounce and are currently trying to pull down my curtains in their efforts to say "allo....allo....allo" to whoever passes by. [grimace]

Papillon - are you American? - 'pissed' means drunk to me & I'm sure you don't mean that {smile}

Kama - planning to bf for at least 6 months then see how it goes- she's exclusively bf so far but I'm back at work in 2 weeks. Would love to combine solids & just bf (i.e. no need for formula) but last time I found I dried up really quickly after going back to work.

Partial success with the one handed hold & big pillow tonight but she was really sleepy. Usually she moves around too much. Will try again tomorrow.
I think I remember you from another thread - New Year baby same as me? Fairy lights & Rescue Remedy?

Oops - hijacking my own thread here!
