OK I'm now going to lower the intellectual tone.

I think Jack has endured enough and should be released from the Big Brother house on compassionate grounds. He has shown that he is willing to give up his time and freedom for a good cause but he looks even more miserable than ever.
Any guesses on who will 'win'?

I absolutely love Celeb BB. I am adding it to my repertoire of essential eye candy - Hello! and Heat magazine. No one must touch my mags before I have absorbed that lovely oh so real celeb lifestyle, and I have cancelled all engagements (Ok, Ok, there weren't many anyway) to watch it. I felt really sorry for Vanessa; she's really bright and a good journalist, so why did she switch to TV and indulge her paranoia so publicly? Answer - I suppose - cos she's got a massive ego and loves herself and wants money. I am amazed that it's been SO "access all areas". All other TV just looks crap beside it. I am torn about Anthea - she's not been as bad as one would hope. I loved the bit with Vanessa talking about the mammoth task of washing her hair... I don't know about the Boyzone chappy - on the one hand he seems crass and laddish - but he also comes up with some sensible comments too!!

GO CELEB BIG BROTHER! GO CELEB BIG BROTHER!

Thank God, I'm not the only one addicted to this programme - actually taped it to watch the rubbish 'whodunit'!! I thought Chris was so entertaining, can't stand (or maybe understand)the guy but he certainly was value for money to watch - even made Jack Dee laugh, what a man! Anthea wants to be liked so much it actually makes you cringe, same with Vanessa to a certain extent - I mean, cutting a complete stranger's toenails, what is that about??!! Jack is so miserable, can't make up my mind about him and Keith is such a lad! Claire just seems to be compeltely normal, quite like her to win.
AM I A SAD GIT OR WHAT!!! (Actually my partner has been away for a week so I can watch whatever TV I like, NO SPORT, it's been quite nice!!)

My husband thinks its really funny that I like to watch Big Brother. He can be quite patronising about it. Any one else have this problem? Having said this he likes to watch Babylon 5 (!!) and I do admit to teasing him about this.

I do think that most of the celebs are doing much more badly than I expected, perhaps they have more to loose than the unknowns. My respect for Anna (who I thought was ace) has increased. Claire & Keith have to be my favs now.

Heard today about Jack having not touched alcohol for five years, recovering alcoholic, and has been spotted drinking wine??? It's unbelievable that Vanessa had such a traumatic reaction and emotional outburst, they know the cameras are there and we are all watching it, wouldn't you just hide under a duvet for a day?! (Ooh wouldn't that be heaven!)

I reckon next is Anthea, then Keith and then the decider out of Jack and Clare? Do you think Chris will take up Chris Evans's offer and break back in, might be a laugh.

Help. I think I'm getting a 'crush' on Keith. He makes me laugh.

As for mags I find them a bit repetative after a while.

I adore "Hello", every Tuesday lunchtime we sit down on the trading floor and meticulously go through it. My husband thinks its hilarious. He never watches crap telly and actually wouldn't even read a novel - only biographies of extremely dull long-dead politicians. I am also obsessed by Celebrity Big Brother. Can't believe how dull Anthea is and how desperate she is to be liked. Vanessa's rant to the camera last night on being ejected was extraordinary...

I'm sure it's only been a few days since Celeb. Big Bro. started but they all look like they've been on death row for 10 years, what's going on!

I have no time for Anthea since she stole Della Bovey's husband but by the look of him (Grant)she's probably well rid of him and she's still got her big pile in the country. Anthea looks like she could do with an extra 1/2 a stone to fill those cheeks out a bit, she's permanently puckered!

As for Keith those mad eyes scare me but I think he's harmless, bet his wife is pleased about the masturbation conversation.

I have difficulty believing Jack is a comedian, perhaps he doesn't write his own material.

As for Claire, don't watch any soaps, so no idea but she seems nice??!

Oh Vanessa, I was quite impressed with her after watching her on The Weakest Link, but now I'm afraid for her sanity.

Croppy,
You think your husband is bad....Mine reads technical manuals for fun. Haven't seem him with a novel for years! He'll even lug these huge technical tomes on holiday (along with his laptop!!). I have got him watching CBB though. He acts all cynical about it but I've caught him watching out of the corner of his eye!

I think I am lucky because my husband secretly enjoys my Heat magazine. He has always scoffed at Hello! - but read it anyway - but he thinks that Heat has just the right trashy photos, trivial articles and is top tabloid brain candy. I came out of the closet and started to buy these mags a few years ago after secretive reading in the hairdresser / health club etc. I did go off Hello! after the death of Princess Diana. Not sure why. But I wouldn't TOUCH OK! - it's just trash dahling! Yes, agree with peeps about Vanessa; but horribly familiar with paranoid reaction to rejection so "there but for the grace of god" and all that. I thought Jack and his suitcase and flatcap and farting have just been hilarious - he MUST stay. I heart CBB!!

I think that Claire will win.She seems the most balanced and taking it all in her stride.Jack looked really fed up last night and really wants to leave.I wonder if he thought about the feelings he would experience before he committed to being part of the show,I think not.I am getting a real sense of claustrophobia watching this show, that I never had with the last Big Brother.Anyone else agree?
