Keyworker not engaging

DS is 18 months and has started daycare full time or about 3 weeks now. We had an initial period where he would cry hysterically at drop offs but that has reduced a bit. All the nursery staff are friendly generally just that I find his key worker isn't a much. I thought it was me but DH feelss the same. It's not that she's rude but doesn't convey warmth and friendliness unlike the other staff I've met. I always need to ask her lot of questions about his progress else she doesn't volunteer information.I get daily written reports on his activities which I'm not too worried about as it does appear he's settling in and making progress. Am I being too sensitive and should give her time to connect? She seems nice to DS but not as affectionate as the others I've seen. Wwyd in this situation?

I agree with pp - not being overly chatting or exuding a fake warmth to all children doesn't make her an unsuitable keyworker, just different. The reason I like dd's future nursery is that the workers aren't gushy and Ott. It makes me cringe tbh

Honestly don't worry about it too much. It's not like having an assigned key worker is that important-my DS is now 2.75 and I don't know who his key worker is any more! Oh and don't judge the quiet nursery workers too harshly. I recall when DS was in the baby room there was a very friendly/loud member of staff who was clearly loved by a lot of parents. My DS obviously never liked her (he likes everyone), he did however very much enjoy the blunt girl with the speech impediment who seemed kind of harsh to the kids. Try not to buy the 'performance'
