No period after mirena coil removal?

So had my coil about 18months had a period every month still could tell it was my period due to heaviness etc! Also had a lot of spotting bleeding throughout the 18 months so decided it wasn't for me had it removed. Since having it removed I've not had a spec of blood and my period is now a day late which is freaking me out! Done a test and that is negative but surely my periods haven't now stopped!! Anyone had same situation?
