I wonder if Norman was re-elected?

Why, thank you Rusty! Do have a Brew yourself while you're at it!

Just felt I had to add a Brew to this thread - in celebration of the first success of what I feel sure will be Norman's glittering political career....

LOL - I had a bear like that, won under similar circs. He must be around somewhere in the loft, but his last memorable outing was when I went to a pyjama party as a student - and cycled home at 3am, in pyjamas, with huge bear riding pillion on the carrier at the back of my bike.

I got some interesting looks

Aren't they just??? Ds won Fluffy in a name the teddy competition at a school fair. I was silently cursing as we walked home with Fluffy, thinking "Where are we going to put this?" But we seem to have found room for him somehow.....

Oooh pictures needed I think.

After watching tv footage last night of Gordon Brown going to Buckingham Palace with police escort, ds has this morning set up a Playmobil scene of Norman the Foreman and Father Christmas travelling to see Bossy Ross in a taxi, with police escort consisting of police cars and motorbikes. He did complain about Norman having to go in a taxi as we have no limousine....

For some reason I would expect Slubberdegullion to have lots of Romans.....

Think ds may have his eye on some Romans - he thinks their shields would make good riot shields for the police

bizarrely we have very few pirates - but pretty nearly a full century of Romans (DH got carried away )

You can never have enough kinghts/pirates/romans.

Report
SoMuchToBits · 11/05/2010 21:54

Possibly - but I suspect that they come cheaper than buying a whole load of pirates/knights/Romans who may never be needed

It would be quite fun though if Fluffy had to come and sit on a load of Lego men

Aren't the cuddly toys just mercenaries for hire?

Report
SoMuchToBits · 11/05/2010 21:48

Ah, but I think by getting the help of the Cuddly Toys, Father Christmas has actually helped to slash the defence budget. No need for pirates etc if you have Fluffy, Raffles and Mr Tinkly on your side!

Anyway we will wait and see what Rupert comes up with when he takes all the other suggestions into consideration, and finds out how much money there is in the Bank of Ds....

Playmo MNHQ?

I'm sure there should be a protest against such blatant use of resources for defence at the obvious expense of the arts, sports and education.

No Greenham Common ladies that I've noticed - we do have ladies who go on holiday, and some fire service and police ladies though. In fact Playmoland is usually very peaceful!

Bugger Trident, Cherokee and Star Wars - bring on Fluvffy, Mr Tnkly and Raffles!

Are there Greenham Common ladies in Playmoland?

She looks just the job! Now I will have to persuade ds we need a Playmobil wedding set! Sea monsters sound quite good for defence.

I am awaiting Rupert's budget with interest. Meanwhile Father Christmas has returned from his mission with the full support of the Cuddly Toys. The plan is as follows:-

In the event of a Lego Invasion, the first to respond (apart from Archie and a few police) will be Mr Tinkly-Octopus and Sidney Snail, who live at Beanbag-in-Playroom. Mr Tinkly will use his tentacles to tickle the Lego men, and will tinkle and squeak in a menacing manner. Sidney will add an ominous rattle. They will then call in reinforcements from the bedroom. Mr Orange Octopus will join in the tickling, and Boris the Toucan will swoop and peck. Waveney the seal will bash people with his flippers and hit them with his surf board. The bears will then join in with general growling and mauling. Finally they have the ultimate deterrent - their weapons of mass destruction, Raffles and Fluffy (two ENOOOORRRMMMOOOUUUSSS teddy bears who could flatten several Lego men at once). Do you think this will be viable?

Most playmobil women seem to be way too down to earth - but there are a few possibles for PR in the dollhouse-related sets.
