But I can't see a second one!

FruOla · 21/08/2013 08:25

Ummmm ..... no, not really! Well, I can see one just to the right of the tree trunk which looks like two eyes and a round mouth, presumably where the sun is shining through a gap in the leaves - but I can see a second one.

That is an amazing photo.

Anyone notice the two face in the trees to the right ?

I love the 'lost beard' story, Quaffle.

Poor helly, being attacked - or should I say, attached - by a 'lost beard' - just for a photo!

Am crying tears of laughter now.
Not rusty fibre on lens, it was my friend's camera and she wasn't wearing my jacket at any point. It was quite a magical place, walking down through the woods at the side of a huge waterfall. What disturbs me the most (aside from the feet !) is that my whole face looks like someone else. This is more noticable when I look at the real photo through a magnifying loop. As the pic here is a photo of the photo it is less distinct.

Tis clearly the long lost, disembodied beard of Captain Redbeard Rum

MandaHugNKiss · 11/08/2013 12:41

(and I don't really buy the fibre on the lens, tbh. It's possible, but not likely... I mean, the effect looks too bushy. But to play devil's advocate I had to offer it up as a possibility)

When you click the photo, you can enlarge it further by holding down the control button and clicking the plus sign key over and over...

To reveal the singularly most puzzling picture I've seen! And I used to leaf through a book from the library of 'real' ghosts caught on camera as a teen. Nothing there was as good as Ghost Beard.

You were clearly a Scotsman in a previous life and that's what we're glimpsing here. Um, a Scotsman who lost his feet in a terrible accident (why are you also levitating?!).

After all the lurking I did on the other thread (still am, actually) I couldn't be more impressed by this. Unless a ghostly sporran can also be seen on your kilt skirt...

Look, I suppose the beard (which looks little like a curl/back to front 'c' when enlarged) could have been a speck of dust on the lens serendipitously appearing to look like whiskers. Beautiful, red, whiskers (could it have been a fibre on the lens from the lovely red tweed jacket?)

But. BUT. Dust and fibres disnae make it look like you're a hovercraft. No, ma'am, can't fathom anything logical for that at the mo!

"Aaah, experienced travellers of yon Haunted Wood never set foot upon that accursed path without the magical talisman of a Wilkinson Sword Quattro and a tin of shaving foam at hand, to brandish at the Ghost Beard when it do come searching for its long-lost chin...."

I am now snorting at the tragic story of the ghost beard wandering the woods and searching for its owner.

Levitating Noel Edmunds in drag- that is exactly what I look like, or Prince Albert as another poster said. Am liking the marmoset theory too.

Have now looked properly on laptop. Clearly first photo is of levitating Noel Edmonds in drag, while second photo is of elfin beauty.

Ah thanks. My phone screen is rubbish.

In that case...wooo!

I've looked carefully at the beard. It is a clearly an optical illusion caused by the ginger marmoset climbing your back and leaning over your shoulder so that it's head get between your face and the camera.

Julie Andrews ! Grin, I was growing out a very short crop. Have curly hair actually, so don't usually look like Jules.

Yes select, I'm wearing a rust tweed jacket when I have the beard, then I took it off and tied it round my waist.
