I'm 43. One child 15 years ago, no major illnesses or issues.
I've suspected I've been in peri meno for about 2 years - cycle was erratic for about a year, within 20-60 days, mad PMT etc. Had bloods done by GP, all normal except low B12 which has been treated.
Then I had bleeds every two weeks, for about 6 months, still had raging PMT with the added extra of generalised anxiety (not medicated) - had a TV scan to check what was going on - all clear.
Now, it's been over 90 days since my last bleed, no PMT symptoms and I'm feeling better than I have done for years I'm exercising, awake more, interested in life - it's great !
Is this it? Am I through the worst of it ? Or am I being lulled into a false sense of security?
My concern is my bone density. There is family history of "thinning bones" (whatever that means, I'm not close to my family so can't ask for more details). Should I go back to the GP and ask for another blood test?
