Hi all
I sweat a lot but particularly at night and particularly during my period. It's getting quite bad. Had a stint a few months ago where I was convinced I am peri and bloods were hit and miss. Periods now 24 day cycle and heavy for first two days. Palpitations at different times of the month too and it's the palps and swearing that bothers me most.

Second the unreliability of blood tests in peri. I was only a bit older than you when started with peri symptoms. I don't think my GP knew much about early menopause, and, unfortunately neither did I.

It took 4 years to get HRT sorted and should have had it earlier...look at somewhere like menopause matters website and arm yourself with some info so you can have sensible discussion with GP.

Lots of sympathy on the sweats, I found a pure wool duvet helped...

Be aware that blood tests are not reliable. They ought to be done twice in a month; day 2-3 and day 14+. Even then they may not be reliable because they only test your hormones at that hour of that day. This can change rapidly during peri, so it's just as well to go y symptoms and family history of early meno.

If it all gets worse, see your GP about HRT because you fall into the category of early meno if your cycles stop before age 45. NICE recommends HRT for any women having early menopause.

Thank you! I thought it was but my docs won't commit as I'm only 39 but both sister and mum went through menopause early to mid forties x
