Well at 1pm tomorrow BBC is showing no rain anywhere near Swansea, so probably safe for the park, although everything will be a bit soggy!

I will go anywhere happily though - would WOP enable tots to come? Perhaps that would be better?

I'll check back in before bed to see the general consensus.

Smac I'm glad someone else feels a bit apprehensive! Biting the bullet is right, I'm trying not to think too much - just to do it!

The BBC?

Shall pack a brollie anyway....

I am happy with park, the girls love a good splash + i have a thermos. Plus the Shit Shop sells hot drinks so if it gets too bad we can warm up.

I think as not everyone who said they were coming has come on the thread tonight we can't change it tbh as otherwise I havea vision of forlorn MNer's in brynmill park

Providing I put petrol in the not so shit car. I can make it to the park.

My Shit car wont even start now, Its not ill I think its terminal, so much for VW's being reliable, (reliable to break down and leave you stuck in the crap more like)

Thanks for the offer Quality but I'll be fine. Tomorrow I am going to Ty a Fi for the first time and coming along to my first MN meet up. I think I will need a lollipop for being so brave!
I will be armed with a toddler, a potty and a big baby, lets hope the BBC forecast is right and we don't need the raincoats......
and if no one else turns up then I'll know to go back on Friday and meet the Netmums

Thanks Quality.
It's the mother and toddler bit before Meithrin. I can't get my head around the system down here but I'm going along to find out more about it. When DD1 is 2 1/2 she can go to Meithrin (alone) but the lady suggested I went along with her to Ty a Fi first. I think some places call it Cylch ? I am clueless so I may have it all wrong. Anyway my friend that I usually do stuff with is 36w pregnant and on bedrest so I can't drag her along with me for moral support so I'm being brave and going alone (well with 2 x DDs)
Right off to bed for me now, I'll check in one more time tomorrow morning just in case there is any change of plan.

Righto - the park it is!

See you all about 12ish

Quality · 15/07/2010 08:45

um, if it carries on like this I have a major problem as DH won't wantto go to work on the bike in the rain, and he is at work at 1-9. And I have to pick up DD's at half 11ish on my side of town, so would never get there by bus, but I will try and bribe him with sexual favours convince him to take it anyway...
Fingers crossed it stops!

amimagic · 15/07/2010 08:54

Sexual favours this time in the morning would be a step too far for me!

DS up half the night with a stinking cold, am going to see how it goes, and hopefully he can stay with MIL if she's around and if he's not feeling too sorry for himself. Fingers crossed all round!

I found Brynmill park, it's lovely and it didn't even rain while we were there. We ate our sandwiches and DD1 had good fun in the play area but we were a bit lonely, sob, sob

Don't know if anyone will still read this thread, but just wanted to say how sorry I am to have missed the meet up.

Have just emerged from a week of hell - DS then DD rotten with colds, the horrible crying, no-sleep kind.

Once I made up my mind to be brave, I was really looking forward to it, and will be very pleased if another meet is arranged!
