Hi I know Im new to this site & havent got to know anyone yet but Im desperate to find people to talk to in or near Camborne.Ive been here a year now & Ive met some Cornish people through my other half but they seem to be on a different wave length (no offence to the cornish).Im from Manchester & have 2 special needs kids & Im finding it hard to fit in.Its really dissapointing after waiting sooooo long to get here.Im sure I read a thread about someone with a similar culture shock problem, its lovely here especially in summer when youre out & about all the time but in winter you feel so cut off from the world.Anyway if you live nearby, let me know.
Oh yes.Im Jacquie by the way.

Back after 2 days of intensive xmas shopping!
Im in Camborne at the moment but we are desperately house hunting so who knows where we'll end up next.I feel more isolated at the moment as neither of us has transport yet. We've both got driving tests in January so fingers crossed, but Im not feeling very confident about it & Im a nervous driver anyway,I have to breathe in & hold my breath when passing other cars on these narrow country roads, its scarey stuff.

Hi there,
I'm just outside Plymouth (on the English side).
Have got 4 children, one of whom is half-cornish!
Feel free to e-mail if you want to chat.

I'm in Plymouth (so not too far) and have 2 children-4 and 2. The eldest is autistic. I grew up in Devon, but spent 10 years living just about everywhere else so hopefully I'm not too insular

Just replied to you on another thread - but you've answered my question now.
