Crunchy low carb things!

Hi
I am a vegetarian and following the low carb bootcamp. I am craving crunchy textures! Nuts arent crunchy enough.
I've tried chia seeds and crispy kale which are both good but looking for any other clever ideas.
Thanks

"a tin of chickpeas from the back of the cupboard and it says 13.1g of carbs, and 6.9g of fibre (drained), so 6.2g net carbs/100g. I'm so confused"**

@Sparklfairy!!! Stop! Put the chickpeas down! We don't do net carbs in the UK!!!

The fibre isn't included in the carb count here. The carbs shown on the label are the actual carbs. I've only just recently found this out from reading an amazing UK based Keto recipe book. Thankfully BEFORE I started keto. See the image

Pissing hell Grin I have been misled!

I don't know why I've derailed the thread with chickpeas... I don't even like them that much! Grin

But thank you,my half arsed attempt at keto has been even more half arsed than I thought! Sad

Just a thought, but is the carb discrepancy for the chickpeas because Google shows the carb count of dry chickpeas, whereas Sparklfairy was looking at tinned chickpeas in water?

Former low carber, here!

I made this granola recipe from Sugarfree Londoner last week. It's very crunchy!

@Sparklfairy

This is the nutritional info I found on a UK app for a tablespoon of drained chickpeas. Definitely not keto friendly

@Tallybeebloom

Chickpeas aren't low carb either

Ah well my mistake, I thought they were and still managed to lose 3 stone including them pretty often in my low carb diet.

Sadly they're not allowed on Bootcamp though.

This is a thread in the Low Carb Bootcamp topic, so can I just point out that whether it's lentils or chickpeas, it's irrelevant! Neither is allowed during Bootcamp.

Those snacking cheese things from Sainsburys that a PP linked are honestly delightful. And after quite a few you don’t fancy much more because they’re really cheesy and satisfying if you see what I mean, so it’s good for portion control too. Although I have got through the whole bag a few times...

I haven't RTFT but pickled cabbage like you can get from the kebab shop is GORGE, really crunchy, fresh & delicious. We have it a lot.

I've just made a version of this from what I had in the cupboard - nuts, peanut butter, chia seeds and water. Very nice and crunchy. Thanks.
