I am very worried and need some free advice if possible.
almost 3 years ago my exhusband and I were divorced due to adultry on his side. he left the marital home which was joint mortgage and never paid a penny to the household. I was left 4 months preg and with a 5 year old daughter to support which were both his.
I continued to live in the house and pay the mortgage and the arrears he left whilst juggling full time work and full time nursery fees.
In December 2013 he took me to court to disolve our financial ties which was only the house. He wanted half of my pension and other things but the judge decided I only needed to take his name off the mortgage and gave me 28 days to do it. I appeared at the court with a decison in principle and the judge was happy with that.
3 months on I have had word I have been unsuccessful with the remortgage. I have asked for a print out to submit to the courts and prove I have been ongoing in my efforts
I am struggling financially and can not at all afford a solicitor but I am scared what will happen now. I am trying my hardest just to live and support my children and do not understand what will happen now. I have no savings at all and so am concerned what possibly they can do?
My credit rating is ok but I just cant get a remortgage and its really getting me scared.
Any advice would be grateful :)
Thanks so much
