oops i ment new look not topshop.
peacocks was the other one i couldnt think of of-was mostly quite nice things.i thought it used to be quite boring.

thorntons would be nice.

shows how long ago i went before that!i think also the fact it was me and dd,not me and dh ment i could look properly!

They have been told what the locals wont but dont have the power to pull them in.

Bon Marche, peacocks, halifax wilkinsons and newlook,

Newlook and halifax have relocated

Peacock were there before development but left cos shop needed for building work

So the only new ones are wilkinsons and bon marche.

Game is meant to be coming. Plus thorntons and rowes the bakery

be nice if they filled the empty shops.

'john lewis, debenhams, primark, Hmv etc' would be fab.tell them

Shops are on the up since the new development opened. Am a bit disappointed with standard of shops as was hoping for a john lewis, debenhams, primark, Hmv etc.

Am just outside of St Austell.

Our estate is has a perilious hill at the entrance. Got out today to get supplies before the snow comes again.

Hoping to be clear again by Tues for my delivery of tumble dryer but doubt a van can get up hill

Stubbornstains, DS was 1 at the beginning of December. My due date was also 27/12 but DS had other ideas of course...

How was everything, I hope the birth went as you planned? And how are you coping with all this snow now?!

I remember this time last year and the amount of blooming time I spent squishing DS into snowsuits, god it was hard work!

Hello feralgirl, sorry about the delay in getting back to you.....

Only 4 more days and I will be at "term", so will be able to use the pool...if there are enough midwives! (the Helston team is 2 down at the moment; heavy politics going on apparently...)

Had a real scare last night; as you know, CCC doesn't believe in gritting roads, and just before I left my workshop in Constantine it rained-then froze solid! Started to slide uncontrollably on the long hill going down into Gweek, and finished up in a hedge- no damage to anything, luckily. But I refused to even get out of the van until the baby's father came to rescue me- on a mobility scooter!

V. funny in retrospect eh...? Not as bad as the busload of pensioners in PZ with 2 killed though; when the hell will the council learn??

How old is your DS? I'm having one of those too! (unless the sonographer was wrong...)

feralgirl · 05/12/2009 15:39

Awww, love leif! She did some stuff with my ante-natal class. I wish I'd known about her sessions earlier in my pregnancy.

Stubbornstains, I'm also near Helston but on the PZ side. I really wanted to use the birth pool but DS was nearly 4 weeks early so we had to go to Treliske (boo).

You must be nearly there now; how's it going?

Up for a wild pub crawl in about....ehm....18 months?! (Newly-back-on-the-sauce mums are scary though aren't they? One of my best mates went from about 0-60 on the tequila slammers on one of her first post-breastfeeding nights out....She then disappeared and we genuinely thought she'd fallen in the Penryn River...turned out she'd managed to crawl back to her hosts for the night unscathed....to say nothing of the arm wrestling).

Yes indeedy, the yoga is with Leif: it is so good it's worth the extra travel. Plus,I get the opportunity to sniff the exotic bohemian air of Penzance, and walk past some of the best pubs in Cornwall (what a wind up!)

Just noticed this myself! I'm up the other end, between coasts and in the middle of cowland the countryside. Kind of near Callington.

StubbornStains: you've got all the best bits to come!

Hello, I live in some mud a couple of miles from Helston...31 weeks pregnant with my first, so still a mum-in-waiting....I was very happy to find out that Helston has one of only 2 birth units with a pool in the county- naively, I thought every town had one!

....So that's kind of down your end Dog...I brave the rush hour traffic to go to pregnancy yoga in PZ.
