Hi. It looks like the Bolton thread has been a bit quiet of late? I'm a fairly new mum so it would be great to hear from other mums in the area.

Your classes sound fab. Did you know you can add a free listing on the local site? I'm the local editor for the Bolton and Bury Mumsnet site so if you need any help just drop me a note. You can also give me a shout through our Facebook page www.facebook.com/pages/Mumsnet-Bolton-Bury/423180777729412?ref=hl Smile

Hi. We run two different types of classes for little people that offer an opportunity for parents/guardians to gain some much deserved respite whilst their children are engaged in the activities. Football based sessions for children aged 18 months plus (dribblerz); sessions for children aged 3-5 (tiny Strikerz) and sessions for tiny dancers ( little g). There is very much a social element for parents who come, and with sessions at differing times and venues in Bolton, our provision is worth a look if you are struggling to think of what to do with the cold winter days we are about to face. Give us a call on 07837 972216 if you want to find out more. Thanks!

Hello All,
I don't know if you know but the Mumsnet Local pages are changing very soon. I'd like to introduce myself, I'm the Local Editor for ?Bolton and Bury' and hope that the new local site will be full of useful information, meet-ups and local talk before long. I noticed quite a few of you seem interested in possibly meeting up with mums in your local area. Would any of you be interested in becoming a Local Ambassador for Mumsnet? What we'd like Local Ambassadors to do is organise one monthly meeting in their local area (it could be a coffee morning, visit to an indoor play centre? anything you like really) and load up listings if they have the time and inclination. You'd be given your own easy-to-use editable meet-ups page if this is something that you'd be interested in. Feel free to PM me if you'd like more info Smile

Hi all. Just getting to grips with the app not that I've started mat leave for number 2! I'm in Horwich and run the Bolton NCT branch. So any requests for what we can organise in the next 12 months would be really welcome! We've just started a bumps and babies group in Blackrod and started talking about running some baby first aid courses in Darcy Lever and 'a n other' location..... As a starter for 10! Be nice to be able to support as many mums as possible so your thoughts would be great Wink

Hi lazy

Have you tried St Luke's on Chorley Old Road? It's lovely and not at all cliquey. I took DD there for 2 years.
Am also near the town centre. Smile

Hi everyone,

This thread has been quiet, so i thought i'd bring it back to life.

I live in the centre of town with my husband and my little boy (6 months). I was going to a baby group at a Sure start centre but i found it very cliquey. Can anyone recommend a good one?

Thanks

Hey everyone, I live in Great Lever, I have a little girl who's just turned 1 and I've just found out I'm pregnant again, eek!
I had the same problem with baby/toddler groups as the Children's Centres have become rubbish, but I recently started going to a Salvation Army parent and toddler group just off St Helens Road on a Monday and Friday morning, even though I'm not religious I still think it's great and my little girl loves it too!

Hi all - working mother of two based in Bolton - who said it gets easier as they get older?? Anyway my hubby runs a civil ceremony company and does baby naming ceremonies. If anyone is interested visit his website www.makeitmemorable.org.uk or message me for more details.

Hi Steph, I would be interested in something like that. My dd is 6months and so some of the groups available locally are not suitable for her (they are mostly aimed at toddlers doing arts and crafts etc). Plus it would be nice to get out somewhere different and meet other mums of children of a similiar age to mine.

Calling all mums..I have looked for play groups in our area and i cannot find anything. I was thinking of going to fidgets (on dunscar industrial estate) on Friday morning. I thought this would be a good chance to meet other mums and also try and set up something more regular for our tots. Let me know anyone who would be interested in this.
