Maternity clothes in France

Can anyone recommend maternity clothes in France, other than the stuff from Vertbaudet/La Redoute?
Preferably not too pricy, possibility of Internet ordering a distinct advantage.
TIA

felicitations!
Do you still have C&A in France?
I bought very smart black pinstripe trousers for work there. Much better fitting than the pricier formes & 9 lunes (bought and hardly ever worn!)

TBH if you are not required to do formal business clothes, why not just try the + sizes in your usual shops?
Stretchy dresses and opaque colored tights would be great for your slim 38 frame.

Thanks for all the congratulations and for the ideas.

farfaraway: thanks for the offer but I think 40/42 might indeed be a bit big.

I'll definitely try and get to H&M and Monoprix. There are some C&A shops, but not around here that I know of. Dresses/tunics and tights sounds like a good plan. This may be the opportunity to try out a new look.

I could go for bigger sized normal clothes, especially for days when I'm not actually teaching, as I do try to look vaguely smart for work. But I find that oversized clothes tend to look a bit weird because they are bigger all over, IYSWIM, so they bag out and make my skinny legs look a bit odd. I'm currently wearing a pair of too-big trousers, and DH said I looked "très cool" (not a compliment, I think he meant I was a bit grungy) as I set off to work this morning.

Now to fit in a shopping excursion.

Hmm, yes it is nearly strike time again, isn't it?

I see no signs of one brewing yet though .

Will email you now and am off up to the attic to see what I've got left over.

I agree that bigger "normal" clothes will probably not work on you - they didn't on me anyway.

I remember spending a couple of hours in Lille trying all kinds of things in 40/42 and tunic type stuff but none of it was remotely flattering or fitted.

That said there may be a couple of vest tops in my stuff that did work.

will stop waffling and get on with emailing you!

HSFAY,
I've e-mailed you...
I heard on the radio that one union had called for a grève administrative. Where I am, tempers are severely frayed by all Pécresse's reforms and by the palaver over the end of the concours and colleagues may well go out on strike.

Have replied.

It's usually fairly full-on strike-wise in Le Havre (we were one of the last on strike last year) but no sign so far.

Actually am not so keen really because it was hell making up the classes last time and I didn't do anything fun during the strike because I kept thinking we would be going back any day!

Thanks for that Castille. MIL has just sent a huge cheque in advance for my birthday, so am feeling flush. Now to find time to go and spend it.
Esprit online sounds good.
Am very touched at all these people checking out maternity wear for me!

Thinking back, I got some quite useful stuff from vertbaudet...certainly I went there for bras and stuff when I got bigger later on.
