hi there i live near richmond n'yorks and live with my female partner and two kids, would really like to meet other similar people in my area as can sometimes feel like we are the 'only gays in the village!!'

Hello ladies,

I hope you don't mind me joining your discussion group.

I am working on a new series for Channel 4 called The Village and we are currently looking for families to take part in filming that would like the chance to win a 3 bedroom house in Yorkshire and start a new life mortgage free.

I am currently trying to spread the word to people accross the UK who could genuinely benefit from this opportunity.

We really want a true representation of families in the UK today so I am hoping to reach out to members of communities that are perhaps under represented in the media today to see if it's something you'd like to maybe find out more about.

As you are all not too far away from the village in question I thought it might be worth just passing on the info about the series.

Lots of lesbian mums in Hebden Bridge and surrounding area, if you're anywhere near us?

The Calder Valley Lesbian Parents Group have a website listing all their activities and meet-ups. There's also a fledgling group in Bradford.
