Hi, has anyone had ivf treatment at create birmingham (or any other branches) if so can anyone shed some light on what is the highest dose of stims they use? Or can anyone share there ivf protocol for low amh so I can get a idea of what stims they use and dosages. I'm a poor responder, but was thinking to try create if they do offer good stims dose. Any help would be appreciated thanks

@Anna381 I'm there and would recommend from my personal experience but appreciate its subjective.

I had a disastrous high stims EC with another NHS clinic which led to failed fertilisation but through Create going private got embryos frozen over 3 ECs. Going through FETs at the moment, although furst 2 FETs have been BFN I trust the clinic have explored options each time and I've been happy with their clinical advice.

Max stims tends to be 225 on mild ivf with Create, they don't tend to do higher or not from my experience anyway

Their natural modified protocol is slightly different to regular short protocol IVF as they start stims a few days later than normal. Therefore I got more eggs on low dose 125 bemfola than on maximum dose at another clinic. Also poor responder with low AMH.

@Anna381 @Colourblocked I also dod natural modified and got more eggs than in high stimulation

@Sunflower360 @Colourblocked abit of background info in my case..
my first round was short protocol with low stims, 2 ovaries..high amh and it was a disaster, total eggs collected were 2, and none fertilised. A year later I was diagnosed with a tumour, lost one ovary and tube, then tried another round of ivf, amh at 5, long protocol high stims, 4 eggs collected all 4 fertilised, one transfered but miscarried, other 3 had to discard as clinic graded them as low.
Now finally ready for 3rd round, amh at 12.6pmol clinic I'm with suggested long protocol with high stims again, another clinic called priory p4fertility suggested short protocol with high stims. As I'm confused what to do now I have booked a consultation with create for 1st May, as I read they specialise for low amh.

May I ask what your amh levels are please? It's such a tough decision to make, hopefully create can help me make a decision as I have read positive reviews of them and am drawn to having my 3rd round woth them.

@Anna381 really sorry to hear about your circumstances, sounds like quite an emotional rollercoaster. My AMH was just over 4 pmol last summer, likely lower now

@Sunflower360 sure has been a roller coaster ride, I just want to make the right decision as its also financially draining too. How many eggs were collected each round and made fertilisation? I don't know how my amh has gone from 5 to 12.6pmol (which i suppose is better then last time, I have no idea which supplements have helped as I am on loads.

Wishing you the very best with your fet, pray it all goes well for you.

@Anna381 this was what we got

EC 2 with Create Natural Modfied: 5 eggs, 4 mature; 1 x day 3 embryo (will culture soon) and 1 x blastocyst frozen

EC 3 with Create Natural Modified: 2 eggs, 2 mature, 1 x blastocyst frozen

EC 4 with Create Mild: 7 eggs, 7 mature, 7 fertilised, 5 x blastocysts frozen

Total: 14 eggs = 7 blastocysts and 1 day 3 embryo frozen.

You may want to get your amh checked again, I'm not sure if AMH fluctuates itself, it could be the testing lab that measures it differently?

I ought to add we had ICSI and 13 eggs and out 14 fertilised, of which 7 blastocysts and 1 x day 3 were frozen

I have one more question please, what is the difference in natural modified and create mild?

@Anna381 sorry that was just my typing! Create is just me flagging it was a cycle with Create and not the NHS clinic I was with. Natural modified IVF starts stimulation CD 5 onwards whereas mild IVF starts on CD

@Anna381 Create don't really advise on that from my experience. I just take a pre natal, CoQ10, vitamin d, omega 3

@Sunflower360 I'm on coq10 too my previous clinic advised me alongside with a prenatal, extra vit D, C and E.
I read another post of yours where you mentioned you had hysteroscopy, was that with create? If so can you please guide me on a time line of how quick that was done from your first initial consultation and how much it cost please? I have a 5mm uterus polyp, first clinic nhs said its very small and won't effect implantation(I had a chemical) priory have said it needs to be removed (£2953) , depending on what create say on the 1st id like to get an idea, Did you have general or local anaesthetic? (Sorry I couldn't find your answer on that post)

@Anna381 no problem. My Hysteroscopy was via Spire Hospital, Creatw Bham do not do it (it was a clinic recommended by them). I had private healthcare cover so was able to claim it under that as a polyp is separate to IVF. In the absence of private health care it would cost the amount you have been quoted. Going private I found it was all done (including consultation/outcome) within the month, so pretty quick. I had a general anaesthetic and so glad I did as I was quite tender when I woke up (moreso than any of my ECs), but that was just my experience. I had my cervix widened as it was too narrow for FET, polyp removed (that was 9mm) and adhesions on the lining smoothed-so a few things were sorted. Personally I would get the polyp removed as it can affect implantation or so I was advised

@Sunflower360 yeh when I had my consultantation at priory they did say no matter what size it should be removed, but birmingham womens said no need. I wasn't aware create dont do it, as on the actual site it does say hysteroscopy unless they just check and dont remove. Will get a better idea after creates scan, as I did read sometimes polyps dissappear themselves, my last scan of the 6mm was last year. Thank you once again for your reply.
